We decided to spend a Thanksgiving vacation visiting Puerto Rico.
November 29: Brunch at a hilltop cafe in Fajardo that had spectacular views
(Las Vistas Cafe was an obvious choice for its name!),
then drive back to San Juan.
We toured Old San Juan, along with a zillion other tourists and locals.![]()

The street that the Las Vistas Cafe was on was hilly and narrow and twisted and turned
(So, what else is new?)![]()
View from street level of the Cafe.![]()

The building on the far hilltop is a lighthouse.![]()
Back at sea level, and a few miles further north along the east coast of Puerto Rico.![]()

Back to San Juan. "El Morro" (formally known as Castillo San Filipe del Morro) guards the entrance to the harbor.![]()
Driving in Old San Juan is a slow go.![]()
Street parking is impossible. Fortunately, we found a very cheap, huge, parking garage.
(So did lots of other people...)![]()
